September Essay Contest: Winner! and October Announcement

Hi Everyone!

We cannot believe how many wonderful essays we received during the month of September. It was so hard to chose a winner but we have finally come to a decision!

Congratulations, Kaitlyn Libby, you are our September winner!

Here is a lovely excerpt from the end of her essay:

"I want to improve overall in all my dance classes and to make as many dance friends as possible, (those are the best kind of friends). My last goal is to be able to say, “I can do_____” instead of “I want to be able to do” or “I want”, and know that I have earned the right to each of these goals I accomplished by working hard."

Thank you to everyone else who submitted an essay. Keep writing! There's always another chance to win.

October's Essay Question:
Most of us have crazy busy lives. Between work, school, dance, friends, and family it seems there are never enough hours in the day. How do you keep your life in balance?

The contest will be open to submissions until Friday, October 31. Please email info@dancerswarehouse.com with your essay. Subject line "October Essay Contest".

Don't forget about the Halloween Costume contest as well! Email us a picture of your Halloween costume, subject line "Halloween 2014", for a chance to win a Dancers Warehouse gift card. Contest ends November 5th.

New for October! Check out these super comfy sweatshirts by Sugar & Bruno. So perfect for this chilly weather we've been having in New England. We just want to wear this sweatshirt 24/7 sipping our Pumpkin Spice Lattes while we catch up on some reading next to our favorite fall candle. Don't fret, this sweatshirt would be super cute in an air conditioned studio if you are still experiencing warm weather! It also comes in a ton of colors!

What's your favorite fall trend? Here in the office we are definitely on the pumpkin everything bandwagon and you will always find a scarf around our necks.

Head Start on Halloween!

Hi Everyone!

We cannot believe that it is already October! Where did the time go? I think we will be asking that question a lot this season so to try to get a little ahead of the game we have a few Halloween ideas and tips for you.

Let's start with the basics. Sometimes it is super cold Halloween night or that perfect princess costume you found is itchy. No need to worry! A nude unitard or leotard is a great base to any costume.

 Long Sleeve Leotard

Then just run to your nearest fabric store for some fur - you don't even have to sew it on, a little fabric glue will do the trick. Add some face paint and presto, you're done!

We would love to see what you come up with. Submit a picture of your Halloween costume for a chance to win a Dancers Warehouse gift card! Email entries to info@dancerswarehouse.com subject line "Halloween 2014".
