These Are a Few of Our Favorite Things: How We Stay Warm Edition

Hi There!

Not sure where everyone is from but we are located in Rhode Island and boy, is it cold out. Temperatures are supposed to drop even more later on this week so we though we would share our winter favorites with you. These items are perfect for when you have to leave your heated blanket and go brave the cold with a travel mug full of tea in hand!

From Left to Right:
Gaynor Minden "Wool Tights" also known as "Sweater Tights"
These are amazing! They come in black, charcoal, and navy. They are a perfect layer over your tights that still allow you to see your lines while in the studio. Or if you are like us you pair them with your favorite sweater dress to stay cozy and comfy.

Bloch "Warm Up Booties"
Comfy, warm booties that feel like you are walking on clouds and warming your feet by the fireplace. Who could want more than that?! Hands down these were our best seller this holiday season and if you want to learn a little more about them read our last post here.

Sugar & Bruno "Terry Ninja Sweatpant"
You will be the warmest and most stylish ninja in these pants. They are available in grey and burgundy. We live in these - hanging around the house, teaching, and in dance class. They have a nice high waist so all of your parts stay warm and covered.

From Left to Right:
Body Wrappers "48 inch Legwarmers"
Available in black, burgundy, and pink these are sure to keep your whole leg warm... and at a great price too!

Mirella "Body Warmer"
Knit overalls or basically a leg warmer for your entire body! Thin enough so you can still move around and not feel like you are in a snow suit.

Capezio V-Waist Short
The Tiger Short is perfect for the minimalist. We are currently loving the geometric purple and geometric pink.

As an added bonus we have a knitwear sale going on January 6 through January 10. Use coupon code COZY4DAYS at checkout to receive 15% off all knitwear items.

Let's Talk Booties..

Hi everyone!

We hope you are having a wonderful holiday season. To kick off the new year we are offering 15% off your purchase online when you use coupon code 15FOR15 at checkout today and tomorrow (12/31/14 - 1/1/15).

Now on to the real topic at hand - Bloch Warm Up Booties. Most of you probably know all about them and a good handful of you probably own them already. They were easily our top seller this holiday season and personally I can understand why. They keep your feet so toasty and warm hanging around your house or at the studio. Unfortunately there has been quite an issue getting enough in for the holidays. But don't fret, we have a ton coming in as soon as Bloch resumes their shipping.

The biggest issue right now with the supply and demand of it all is that the west coast ports are on strike and have been for a few months now. You can read about how it is causing problems for a lot of retailers here. Basically the boats are in the ocean just waiting to be unloaded but no one is there to unload them.

We received this letter from Bloch at the start of the holiday season.
So far it looks like most of our on order Booties should be in by March so if you haven't had a chance to snag a pair of your own give us a call or place an order online and we would be more than happy to let you know what is on its way along with an ETA.

As always, we are here to help so just let us know if you have any questions.

September Essay Contest: Winner! and October Announcement

Hi Everyone!

We cannot believe how many wonderful essays we received during the month of September. It was so hard to chose a winner but we have finally come to a decision!

Congratulations, Kaitlyn Libby, you are our September winner!

Here is a lovely excerpt from the end of her essay:

"I want to improve overall in all my dance classes and to make as many dance friends as possible, (those are the best kind of friends). My last goal is to be able to say, “I can do_____” instead of “I want to be able to do” or “I want”, and know that I have earned the right to each of these goals I accomplished by working hard."

Thank you to everyone else who submitted an essay. Keep writing! There's always another chance to win.

October's Essay Question:
Most of us have crazy busy lives. Between work, school, dance, friends, and family it seems there are never enough hours in the day. How do you keep your life in balance?

The contest will be open to submissions until Friday, October 31. Please email info@dancerswarehouse.com with your essay. Subject line "October Essay Contest".

Don't forget about the Halloween Costume contest as well! Email us a picture of your Halloween costume, subject line "Halloween 2014", for a chance to win a Dancers Warehouse gift card. Contest ends November 5th.

New for October! Check out these super comfy sweatshirts by Sugar & Bruno. So perfect for this chilly weather we've been having in New England. We just want to wear this sweatshirt 24/7 sipping our Pumpkin Spice Lattes while we catch up on some reading next to our favorite fall candle. Don't fret, this sweatshirt would be super cute in an air conditioned studio if you are still experiencing warm weather! It also comes in a ton of colors!

What's your favorite fall trend? Here in the office we are definitely on the pumpkin everything bandwagon and you will always find a scarf around our necks.
